We have been delighted to receive some great feedback for the 2008 show...
"...we loved the show - lots of interesting boats and people and things to do and see."
Fiona Kent - Tatler Magazine
“Earls Court is a fantastic showcase. It’s the best exhibition in Europe for a yacht display, as far as I’m concerned. We’ve got the pool, we’ve got enough room for full height masts, it’s a lovely venue, it’s in the right part of London because most of our clients are work or live on the south-west London so they can escape to the south coast at the weekends, and it’s really where the sailing boat show should be in my opinion.”
Paul Heys - Key Yachting
"It's our first time here at the show and we are very delighted with it so far, it has a lovely club atmosphere and we feel the number of visitors and the quality of visitors is really very good.
John Whittey, Managing Director of Whittey Marine
"We're exceptionally impressed with the presentation of the show, there's been much better publicity than last year. I came as a visitor last year and it was very quiet and even though we've got an even more serious worldwide economic situation, we've got a lot of interested people looking at the boat."
Eric Brossier - French yachtsman & author
"It's the most amazing show to be at because you've got people just dropping in for maybe an hour after work and as a result I've sold a lot of material. In fact, I've sold about 10 images and they are the big ones too, the 60x40s, and two books, so that's really fantastic."
Kos Evans - Kos Pictures
“I think it’s great for people who live around the west side of London because there are plenty of other things to see as well as the boat show. We’ve seen quite a few new customers, which is great for us but we’ve also had a chance to meet up with customers who’ve been difficult to get hold of during the year. Basically, we look at it as bringing our office to London for the week and use it to try to meet up with as many customers as possible. Being beside the Guinness stand is, of course, a bonus and often it’s where we find many of our customers!”
Kevin Sproul - Elvestrom Sails
“I believe in the show because it seems it attracts people who don’t go to some of the other bigger, well known shows and a company like ours needs to expand its pond. So, for us, making brand-new contacts that we’ve never met in 30 years is a really worthwhile exercise and if we then get a sale after the show then that’s obviously a bonus.”
Tony Chappell - Managing Director of Tarquin Boat Company
"We had a successful show at Earls Court this year with several sales generated from new leads, particularly with our Arvour ranage, which was a fantastic result for us. Thank you to the organisers for putting on a great show, and we're looking forward to displaying at Earls Court in 2009."
James Barke, Essex Boatyards
"The show was excellent, and I'm looking forward to being there again next year."
Nick Burton, Burton Yacht Charters
"After a mini wash-up meeting on Sunday afternoon, we were suprised to find that at least 2 of our companies had given out more handout material per day than the average at Southampton. North Quay Marine received at least 6 good quality enquiries with one for a modified 19 footer to have a yawl rig. Swallow Boats took booking for trail sales adn Willow Bay Boats was generally very busy with visitors for much of the time. Even Adrian Noyes with his Craftman Craft Exe 9ft traditionally built Clinker Dinghy, took a number of series enquiries home with him."
Ted Spears, North Quay Marine
"I wanted to send a massive thank you for your wonderful support at teh Sail, Power & Watersports Show. We went with three key objectives; firstly brand exposure and to find new friend, secondly to sell our Christmas cracker and Regatta, and thirdly to market out British 10km run. The show was an amazing success on all three points and this is down to your huge generosity and support."
Peter Pogose, Rainbow Trust Children's Charity
"Great location, good quality of visitors."
Sandra Emptage, Neptune Navigation
"Great things to watch, like wakeboarding and the Royal Marines Combat Display."
Chrissy Winchcome, Zapcat Racing
"I like the attention to detail; carpet lights, panels, size and layout. Good circulation and variety. Lovely musical performances, friendly staff and organisers. Five days is a sensible format for the show. Great exhibits on display, so much to see and take in."
Robin Eckardt, Robin Eckardt Art Gallery
"Friendly atmosphere. Thanks to the organisers we were able to find students coming down and staying, ensuring we had an active exhibit each day of the show."
Nat Wilson, International Boat-Building Training College
"We liked the visitors, the exhibitors and the organisers."
Charlie Spokes, Pimp My Float
