Child Safe Zone

The Sail, Power & Watersports Show is a truly family friendly event with lots of fun and interaction; therefore safety is one of our key concerns. As a result, a ‘Child Safe Zones’ scheme will be in operation throughout the show.

‘Child Safe Zones’ is a national initiative that can help keep children and families safe, wherever they travel. Fun wristbands will work for a child anywhere by linking into a dedicated security team. To ensure that your child is kept save, the Sail, Power & Watersports Show has joined a network of Child Safe Zones around the country including beaches, visitor attractions, shopping centres and other family venues.

If you have children, its’ very likely that you have experienced that dreaded moment when you turn around and your child is out of sight…well, that worry is eliminated at the show with this simple, effective and free system. If a child disappears at the show, even for a moment, parents can simply ring the number clearly displayed on the Child Safe Zone stickers or posters for direct contact with the local security team to begin a search quickly.

Children are also given wristbands bearing a contact number for their parents, so security teams can ensure that families are reunited as soon as possible. On entering Sail, Power & Watersports Show a wristband can be collected from the information desk at the Warwick Road entrance. These wristbands are bright, waterproof and tough so can be used during the show, but are just as useful when out for journeys into busy towns and cities.
