Team Earls Court 2nd overall in Volkswagen Touareg King of Cowes

Team Earls Court raced to 2nd place overall in the Volkswagen Touareg King of Cowes on Friday 1st August at Skandia Cowes Week.

Mark Greenaway, Geoff Carveth, Sarah Allan and Catherine Summerhayes finished 7th, 2nd and 2nd in the three races and missed first place by just one point in one of the closest finishes the race has ever seen behind Gill Race Team.

Visitors to Earls Court in November will be able to see the Laser SB3 that owner, Geoff Carveth, races around the world. It will be on display alongside the Team Earls Court Honda 150 Powerboat.

The combination of Laser SB3 racing and Powerboat racing epitomises what the Sail, Power & Watersports show is about. Both sports are accessible to all ages and are surprisingly affordable. Visitors to the show in November will be able to find out how to get into these sports with relatively little exprience.

Pictured with Team Earls Court is legendary Olympic athlete, Colin Jackson, who also competed in the Volkswagen Touareg King of Cowes.

Congratulations to Giles Peckham and his team on a great win. Giles walks away with a brand new Volkswagen Touareg as first prize!
